Noboru Takamura is a full Professor in the Department of Disaster Resilience and Science, Atomic Bomb Disease Institute of Nagasaki University since 2008. In April 2020, he was appointed as the first director of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Nuclear Disaster Memorial Museum in the town of Futaba close to the Fukushima nuclear power plant established to share the lessons learned from the complex disaster that occurred in Japan.
