Présentation

Coal–gas simultaneous extraction is an interdisciplinary field at the intersection of mining engineering, safety science and engineering. At present and for a long time to come, it mainly serves the safe mining of coal, the development and utilization of gas (coal bed methane) resources, as well as environmental protection. Based on mine rock mechanics and seepage mechanics, coal gas simultaneous extraction integrates mining engineering, safety engineering, and the theories and practices of gas drainage technologies. It is a distinctive independent interdisciplinary branch combining basic theoretical research and engineering oriented technologies.

This book comprises nine chapters, covering the fundamental theories of coal gas simultaneous extraction, its design principles, roadway based coal gas simultaneous extraction, non pillar coal gas simultaneous extraction, surface drilling based coal gas simultaneous extraction, gas drainage systems, coal mine gas utilization, and the cost benefit analysis of coal gas simultaneous extraction.

The book is intended for teachers and students majoring in mining engineering, safety engineering and other related disciplines at coal industry focused universities. It can also serve as a reference for scientific researchers, designers, managers and engineering technicians engaged in the coal industry.
